Kogi residents have called on the Federal Government, National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the State government to come to their aid as the flood level continues to rise.
In the early hours of Tuesday,Pedestrians, motorists,tricycle are stucked along Lokoja/Ajaokuta Express way as the floods splits the road into two,causing gridlock and and a standstill to residents and travellers.
As the flood level rises,more houses are being submerged in water along Ganaja road,50O unit through to Jimgbe,in Kogi State.
Many students are left with no choice than to trek long distances to meet up with their examinations.
With the situation on ground, many students may miss their exams as there are no means of Transportation in sight.
Motorcycles and tricycles have abandoned the roads leaving pedestrian to trek long distances to get to their destinations.
Long vehicles are being submerged in the water,efforts by residents to render help has proved abortive as the water level continues to rise .
This situation has left residents stranded.
Some passengers and residents who spoke to our correspondent earlier says, the water had splitted the roads since two days adding that no form of assistance has been rendered to them.
They are calling on the federal government, state government and most especially the Ministry of Environment to come to their aid adding that the flood had denied them their routine as they have no roads to pass to get to their places of work, markets,schools and offices.
