Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has ordered the re-opening of places of worship in Lagos, starting from August 7. The Governor also increases public gatherings capacity from 20 to 50 people.
The Lagos State Government says place of worships maximum of fifty percent will be opened for Muslims starting from Seventh of August and nineth of August twenty twenty for Christians.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated this in his COVID 19 Update at the Lagos House Marina, that social clubs would be allowed to open with compliance to preventive and safety measures on fourteenth of August.
He also said civil servants should maintain the status quo adding that the state government had a two way treatment strategies both its home based
Care strategy and isolation centres.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also urged Schools to adhered strictly to the principles of social and physical distancing even as the state continue to witness a number decrease in confirmed cases in the state.
He said government was working with the private sector for another set of palliative for people in rural areas as Lagos is a cosmopolitan city adding that government was working with stakeholders in the transport sector to enforce they adhered to the rules of COVID 19.
